So Mi and Slime Privacy Policy

Effective date: 25 October 2026

About this privacy policy

So Mi and Slime is an educational music-reading adventure game developed by Treble Chook.

This privacy policy explains how information is handled in the current beta version of the game for iOS and Android.

1. Player profiles and gameplay information

The game allows players to create local player profiles using a name of their choice.

The game stores the following information on the player's device:

  • Player names and profile identifiers.

  • Game progress, completed levels and achievements.

  • Music-reading assessment results and attempt history.

  • In-game rewards, instruments and unlocked features.

This information is used to provide gameplay, save progress and support the game's educational features.

Player profiles and assessment results are stored locally on the device. They are not uploaded to Treble Chook servers or shared with other players.

The current beta does not provide online player accounts or cloud synchronisation.

2. Technical diagnostics

So Mi and Slime is developed using the Unity game engine.

Android

In the updated Android release, Unity Engine Diagnostics is disabled. The game does not intentionally transmit player profiles, gameplay progress or assessment results to Treble Chook or Unity servers.

iOS

The current iOS beta may collect technical diagnostic information through Unity Engine Diagnostics, including:

  • Crash logs and error reports.

  • Application diagnostics and performance information.

  • Device characteristics and device or installation identifiers used for diagnostics.

This information may be transmitted to Unity Technologies to support troubleshooting and improving the game's technical performance and stability.

According to Unity's documentation, diagnostic information is encrypted in transit.

General

Treble Chook does not use technical diagnostic information for advertising or behavioural advertising profiles.

More information about Unity's data practices is available in the Unity Privacy Policy.

3. Advertising and purchases

The current beta version of So Mi and Slime:

  • Does not display third-party advertisements.

  • Does not include in-app purchases or payment processing.

  • Does not use advertising identifiers for targeted advertising.

4. Children's privacy

So Mi and Slime is an educational game that may be played by children and adults.

Players can use a nickname rather than their real name when creating a local profile.

Player names and musical assessment results remain on the device and are not transmitted to Treble Chook.

The game does not currently require players to provide an email address, telephone number or date of birth.

Technical diagnostic information may be processed by Unity as described in Section 2.

Parents and guardians can contact Treble Chook with questions about the game's privacy practices.

5. Data storage, retention and deletion

Player profiles and gameplay records are stored locally on the device.

Players can delete individual profiles using the game's profile-management features. Deleting the game's locally stored data through device settings also removes locally saved gameplay information, although device backups may retain copies.

Because the current beta does not synchronise player profiles with a server, Treble Chook does not maintain a remote database of player progress or assessment results.

Unity manages technical diagnostic data according to its own data-processing and retention practices. Such records may not be individually deletable through the game.

6. External websites

The game includes a link to the Treble Chook website.

Opening this link takes the player outside the game to a web browser. Information processed by that website is subject to the website's applicable privacy practices.

7. Security

Locally stored gameplay data is managed using the device's application storage facilities.

Diagnostic information transmitted to Unity is encrypted in transit, according to Unity's published documentation.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Future changes

So Mi and Slime is under active development.

Future versions may introduce additional features, including online accounts, cloud synchronisation or teacher dashboards.

If these features change how player information is collected, stored, used or shared, this privacy policy will be updated to reflect those changes before the relevant functionality is introduced.
